Instrumentation at the Nouragues station
A micrometeorological station was set up on the Inselberg Drop Zone in October 2013. Data of temperature, hygrometry, radiation, precipitation and wind strength and direction are available. This station is part of the CLIMFOR project. Soil humidity sensors and automatic dendrometers to measure tree growth are also included.
The COPAS yellow tower has been chosen to hold a system allowing to measure carbone and water fluxes between the canopy and the atmosphere called NOURAFLUX. Eddy flux covariance system allows carbone and water fluxes measurement and to compute carbone balance assessments. A second system allows to measure vertical gradient in carbone concentration from the soil to the top of the tower. A mircometeorological station similar to the one installed at Inselberg was also set up.
